DRAGON DRAMA!

Dealing Draconic Denizen Deadly Damage!

Last night our illustrious wizardly coleader led an intrepid band of Heroes in to that well known holiday location, Maiden's Gulch. The Greyland-guided group then proceeded to issue a sound thrashing to Drakota Vyr'drais the Vicious. This began the "Speak As a Dragon" quest, and marked the beginning of the rewarding journey to prestigious prismatic goodness for the Heroes present.

Many thanks to all those who attended, making for a most enjoyable excursion, and of course to Greyland for organising this, providing potions and pearls and even a little tanking Smiley

Also, many thanks again to Laot, who handled the tactical portion of the Raid. He has taken Heroes into battle many times over the years and did so again with stellar leadership Smiley

Hooray heroes!

July 19, 2006 Update

The July guild status contest has become a two-horse race. Oakthicket can't seem to shake Bekkia. Oak is worried since he'll soon go on vacation, leaving Bekkia lots of time to catch up. Foxer is hanging on to fifth place but is in easy sight of a number of guildies.

The guild status push earned Heroes Unlimited level 31 followed quickly by level 32. Leveling speed triples post-level 31. At guild level 40, our guild bank space increases. I estimate it will take at least 17 minutes to fill it up again.

Congrats to Zync on reaching level 70 Smiley. White rodents were the premier intelligent race on earth in Hitchhiker's Guide. It seems they are quite intelligent in Norrath as well.

Welcome to Iindie and Venkor, our newest guildies. Both are cool, friendly people. Neither has perished from the pun assaults that are commonplace on guild chat.

Heroes Unlimited is oh so close to the top 10 in members on Permafrost server. We're hovering in 11 - 13th place.

Some guildies may not know that officers are selective in inviting new members. We usually get multiple membership requests on a daily basis. We could 'auto-invite' as some guilds do, but we feel it could hurt the friendly, drama-free, family environment that we value. Most potential members vanish once they find out that they have to fill out an application. We feel that if it's too much bother for folks to fill out an application, then there's a good chance that they're not suited for Heroes Unlimited.

Greyland finally got the lead out his boots and dinged level 70 on his sage. I think he would have stayed at level 69 forever, except that sneaky Crowbeard was moving up slowly and had reached level 65.

Thanks to Greyland for organizing upcoming guild events to work on prismatic quests. These quests are a cool way for guildies to do stuff together.

July 14, 2006 Update

The guild status contest has turned into a two-horse race between Bekkia and Oakthicket. Ikux and Ditzzy are comfortably next. Foxer is in fifth, but can be caught with a bit of determination.

Greyland has returned from France. He is planning for a multi-month guild event to get prismatic gear. Minimum level requirement is 45. Event will likely start in August.

Welcome to Ghigo, an intrepid 11-year old who almost got Oakthicket booted from the guild Smiley. I had a tough time answering his muffin question during my interview.

GU-25 is live and brings us nifty new clothes and specialised broker consignment containers. I'm not sure how I'll manage to fill 80 slots on my provisioner pantry container. Too bad there isn't a 'wine-cellar' container.

July 7, 2006 Update

The July guild status contest is underway. Modesty prevents me from saying who is in first place, but Bekkia is close behind. Ikux, Foxer and Ferrit are in close pursuit.

Welcome to Dexor, our newest guildie.

Markillious had a successful back operation. Zanna is figuring out how to get his 'puter close to his bed for some serious EQ-2 work when he gets home from the hospital. All guildies wish Mark a speedy recovery.

Saigeblossom would like guildies to know that her 5-room house in South Qeynos is available for any guild functions. She did say that her pies are safely locked up in a bank vault.

An old friend, Foradce, made a cameo appearance a few days ago. It was easy to find him. You just had to look for the toon with a pack of mobs chasing him.

Over a dozen guildies showed up to help Hayllie with the Scarecrow King. Although we had a number of decent tanks in Xaxor, Orkofto and Raychel, it was left to Foxer to take the brunt of the hits. The mob lasted a few seconds. Too bad the quest was bugged.
